Seafood, and lots of it

We have been here a month and a half and are missing our native southern foods. Coming from southeast texas we miss fried shrimp, and a good mexican restaurant for tex-mex foods. Can anyone give us some tips on where we might go to get the afore mentioned items that are worth eating?
Thanks
Thank all of you. We will check out the places named this week. We have eaten the fish and chips at Bennigans and it was excellent. Dont know if it was Hammour or not but very good. Other than that noting spectacular.

yup! you got it right!!!
If i am not mistaken ... if you come from B ring road towards the jaidah roundabout under the flyover. You go straight in that roundabout.
Then you pass a T junction traffic light ... go straight on that traffic light till you see another traffic light then you make a u turn. Little sailor should be exactly on your right hand side.
Babyphat ... i havent been to the place but i think i seen it everyday when i do the school run. Pls correct me if i gave QS a wrong direction.
where is that exactly, baby? how to get there? I am sea food obsessed...if I am coming from Ramada signal towards al Muntaza signal, where do i go?
one resto i love...little sailor at muntaza beside hot bakery. u can choose from fish, shrimps, lobster, etc then they'll cook for you...all 100% fresh...and very affordable though the place isn't a 5-star, just check it out...you'll love the food though.
sea food is absolutely amazing in Fish Market in intercon...Fried shrims of my hand's size, lobsters, calamari, oysters, mussels...and fish, fish, fish....
if you go to the expensive places, Sea Food is good, but rest of the places... Its all Frozen stuff, even the Shrimps and i just hate it .. even i am trying to find out a decent place where they sell fresh Sea food, i dont mind paying more but the idea of going to a 5 star hotel all the time doesnt seem soo convenient ...
Any one has any suggestions for a GOOD restaurant selling fresh Sea Food and not Frozen stuff !!
great tex-mex at Salsa in the Marriott... it's pricey though..
