Rihanna....‘all I see is Palestine’

Rihanna’s ‘all I see is dollar signs’ mistaken for ‘all I see is Palestine’

Singing “pour it up” in Tel Aviv this week American pop star Rihanna was mistakenly reported by an Israeli paper to have said “All I see is Palestine” instead of “All I see is dollar signs.”

Rihanna performed a one-night-only show in Israel as part of her “Diamonds World Tour” and she reportedly started the concert two hours late with political undertones, the Huffington Post reported

While singing, the 25-year American pop star repeatedly mentioned Tel Aviv without naming Israel. “You know I love my friends all over the world, but it’s been too long since I’ve been back here in Tel Aviv,” she shouted to crowds.

Israeli newspaper Haaretz published an article with an initial title that read: All Rihanna sees ‘is Palestine,’ but Israelis didn’t seem to care.

The paper then reported in the article that Rihanna was singing “All I see is Palestine” instead of “All I see is dollar signs.”

Haaretz later retracted its reporting saying: “Upon reviewing video footage of the show posted after publication, it is clear that the change in lyrics attributed to Rihanna was mistaken.”

The pop star last week shocked fans after she appeared dressed tip-to-toe in black with a hijab attached to a svelte jumpsuit posing at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Rihanna performed on Saturday in Abu Dhabi as part of her Diamonds World Tour.

Another daft news report. "The pop star last week shocked fans after she appeared dressed tip-to-toe in black with a hijab attached to a svelte jumpsuit posing at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque." - How did she shock the fans ? The reality is that she was trying to promote herself and the authorities removed her from the premises.
