Rating for Marriott buffet?

Recently I visited Marriott, had the opportunity to try buffet there.I think it is the most over rated place to have food, including the price QR 175/-each , I had to pay .I am sure there are many nicer places in town with better selection of food.

I prefer lunch/dinner at the Marriott. Ritz's brunch is the worst and La Cigale is stricken off my list.

At Ramada, Italian is good.

Right now, one shewrma sandwich winzz it all!..:)

Marriott is one of the best Friday brunch buffets. Good selection of quality food, good atmosphere, constantly evolving, and you can pay a bit extra to drink all the alcohol you like.

yes mary i agree with you about the kids in marriott..it happened with me once while i was having dinner and a little fellow just hit my chair by mistake and my whole drink got spilled over my clothes...it was really embarassing specially when i saw that the juice is spilled on my pants too...

hotels have "theme nights"

seafood, oriental/asian, curry night, etc...

before you go, call and ask first the hotel their dinner theme of the night...

Try Ritz Carlton...

Most of the seafood at the Marriott is good, avoid the lobster. I have to agree on ambience though. The Marriott stuffs so many people in on Fridays that it's hard to hear your table companions - especially if you get a table full of young expats singing (I think) rugby songs and chugging beer - which is what we were subjected to the last time we were there.

Kids running around is a bit of a turn off too - sorry, but I don't think I should be looking out for your toddler while you enjoy a cocktail.

LOl Mandi! Buffet in Ritz is nice, but it goes with the price. I've been there once, never been back yet, but i'd love to go.

Marriott is also ok, though comparing the ambience, Ritz has elegance which I think is expected of them.

I'm waiting for a voucher from Ritz :-))

To say that the buffet in the Ritz is nice is like saying that Qatar has a little oil! We went once and are now considering selling the Land Rover so we can go again.
