Qatari Labour Laws - Do they have classes?
By Jamaican_Shimmer •
Hi Again,
Please assist me. I would like to learn the Qatari labour laws so I can apply them to work.
Is there anywhere that offers such a course?
I am awaiting your response.
Thanks
wats up ppl hwd u doin
This topic has definately lost it's course....I studied Human Resource Management in Jamaica & I know the Labour Laws there. I am here now so I think it would be good to know the ones here so I can apply them accordingly & not only that also for personal reference. It makes it harder for employers to take advantage of you.
Canary do you have a number for this University you mentioned. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Yes here you made a clever comment as when he/she is in jail it doesn't matter and one thing more - being deported from a country forbids you to enter again normally. Not to mention you will be registered by interpol as an international criminal nowadays.
Better to get proper legal counseling than have a life long in jail through improper interaction. The laws in Qatar are steadily changing so I would not bother to read them - what is the case today may not be the case tomorrow.
When you are in the Deportation centre and when the labor department's official visits you to ask you for your last wish, you can ask him all sort of queries, technical questions.
Happy Learning.
I would first read the labour laws and see how they have been applied in various situations. Personally, I find reading government laws difficult to understand (vague or extremely detailed).
The question is what’s the objective? If Shimmy wants to refer the books and apply the law to make him/her aware of it, then canarybird your suggestion seems to be a hectic one. Instead, Shimmy should refer the labour law books, the hard copy can be find in the book shop and the soft copy can be searched on net. You dont need to spend years in academics to learn. The better learning process is to practice it and study the case.

And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.
Please contact the University of law Assistant Dean or the Dean himself, there are courses just check what you need.
Happy Happy
You see law is law - you can't make a five minute course on this so please don't make the mistake as above. Changes in the law does not make you a lawyer by just reading - people are studying this for years to know the ins and outs.
Maybe you just need to get the most updated version of the Law, read it well and have a softcopy to help you through easier search on a chapter or article.
Tried that already?
