Looking for something to do this month? Qatar National Library is more than just an architectural masterpiece full of books. This July the library is hosting a number of exciting events that will appeal across age groups and interests, so give one of these a shot!

For those of you looking to become members, read up on these guidelines and join the QNL community. Membership is free!

 

Assistive Technology for Reading

This hands-on training session is for those with temporary or permanent low vision, or who have a physical disability that prevents them from reading or holding printed pages.

Learn How to Search and Locate QNL Resources

QNL's collections will be introduced to participants along with a hands-on activity on how to use the catalog to help users familiarise themselves with how to do their own searching, and what types of information sources are found in the library.

Math enthusiasts, you get to celebrate Pi Approximation Day, of all things. This day is dedicated to the mathematical constant pi (π). Activities that introduce, recognise, and celebrate π, an irrational number, will be in full swing.

RefWorks and ZOTERO: Citation Management made easy

Learn citation management basic with RefWorks and ZOTERO. The session will include ways to collect, save and cite automatically in a document and produce bibliographies speedily. This session is targeted towards researchers and university students.

Off the Hook: Knitting and Crochet Circle

A casual gathering of knitters and crocheters get together to work on projects and share skills. You’re welcome to bring your own supplies or to borrow QNL needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners that want to learn. 

You can check-out the QNL collection of knitting and crochet books while you are there!

I have visited QNL, borrowing books and returning books is very easy, the reading environment is very good, I would appreciate if they open for a long/late night during the weekend so that we can have the Quality time of reading good books in QNL.
