Again whether they have taken their pics for personal 'show-off' or to keep it as a souvenir is again something ALLAH SWT konws best.
I second you wholeheartedly. Unless of course they were snapped unknowingly or maybe they wanted to inspire others to do the same.May Allah accept it from them but it is rather distasteful IMO,Allahu 'alam.

I mistakenly thought it was bad form to have your picture made at hajj and show it off. It seems like a highly personal moment and something about showing these pictures almost seems immodest, like when you go around and tell people about the charity you give and good deeds you have done. Apparently, I am wrong by the looks of these photos.
