Qatar used to be saudi before but now its gettign to be known like dubai..dating is fine here but just not too showy like petting in the neck, kissing or hugging esp doing crazy stuff..(you know what i mean)..women's dont need to wear abaya unless if ur qatari or if its in the culture of an arab country to wear abaya..now you can see woman wearing shorts(but not too short),sleveless, fitted clothes etc...but we should still consider that this is still an arab country and things can change abruptly..

always smile :)

Its ok Nicole, dont worry, we all fear or unsure about the unknown, but when you get here you will realise Qatar is like any other place, has good and bad points but in the end we are all here making a living for our families, or careers for some.

Com with an open mind and im sure you will be okay..good luck

lol.

anyway, i think you can have a date with the one you like or someone ask you. i saw many here in qatar who is dating secretly.. but that is why is was called secret.. and if they catched you, they will automatically put u in jail. no question asked.

(because it is not really and legally allowed here in qatar..)

Yes,for sure and you can go to the clubs for drink and dance with your date:) if ou both are agree even Qatar law can stop you, but just as we all told you , NOT IN PUBLIC, not kissing , not talking sexy, don't fight also, don't drive without license, don't do anything illegal, no dugs, such as Heroin, Marijuana, Hashish, Opium, cocaine,

Cigar and Cigarrette No problem:)

in general you can do anything you want by the law, just don't harm others lives, here in qatar

so in short it is okay to have boy/girl relationship but just be civilized and dont be a public display of affection to the people... & does it means that it is also okay to have an open relationship in their with an opposite sex.

Honey, no one wears bikini in the street, malls, supermarkets, even in the heart of Paris,,,

here in qatar is the same, i'm sure you are wel dressed in your country, imagine you are wearing a very tight jeans, a very tight top or t-shirt, you can go anywhere in qatar:) and in the beach also you will find some women wearing bikini:), 5***** hotels mostly go take sun bath, they are allowed to cover to wear anything but they have to cover some very special parts:) hope you got me:)

women go out anytime day and night. I think the heat has a lot to do with it, as when its too hot people are more inclined to go out at night, where its somewhat warmer.

As for bar hopping i cant help you, im not into that scence

nicole05. Men and women can go out freely to malls, even if say you were boyfriend/girlfriend, but you just wouldnt kiss or hold hands or indicate to anyone you are an item. Ive heard if found out you can get deported but i culd be wrong, i'm not sure

Women can wear what they want here, you dont have to wear a Abaya, dont worry. Most women dress conservatively out of respect for countries value, but ultimately you can wear what you like.

u can go any where..no need to where abaya..and for dating u go any where..just dnt mess with other ppl..

Imagine you are in Europ, life style is good, just no kissing in the street , that's all, women go out, mostly evening, some wear abaya some not it's depend on the stuation of the person and family, 98% of Qatari wear abaya, they look great with there dress, and they are very attractive,,,
