New in doha

Hello everyone,

I've been working in Doha for the last two months and recently agreed to move here. I'm an American female engineer and I am looking to meet people - I hate sitting at home doing nothing. I've been living in Dubai since June and had a good circle of friends there.

I would like to join a soccer or volleyball team, but the ones I've found seem to be men's only. I may be interested in joining a cycling club, but the traffic scares me!

I generally go watch movies but I hardly ever see anyone out. Where do expats go and what do they do for fun?

Thanks!

Hi dear,

I'm also interested in soccer team.. even badminton and basketball, swimming clubs if there are any. I'm a female, Korean, working as a sales here, but I've been here for 3 weeks only. Well so I'm still looking for those sports clubs to join but am still waiting for my driver's license to be converted. Maybe I should post sth as well... :)

If you find one, please e-mail me at [email protected] and we can go together, and I like movies too.
