I enjoy the NBA when the playoffs are going on. I don't really watch the regular season though. I'm a huge college basektball fan. I'm rooting for Boston. Although, I am a New Yorker, and rooting for any Boston team is a big no-no, I do not want to see LeBron James win an NBA title. At all. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a great player. My dislike for him has nothing to do with him leaving Cleveland, either. It has to do with the way he left. "The Decision" was a joke and a disrespect to the city of Cleveland, the NBA, and his fans. I'd love to see Miami get swept.
I'm a Knicks fan. Born and raised. I used to be a huge NBA fan until it all became a bunch of BS. Nobody plays defense, nobody hustles.. it's a joke. In the playoffs, the games are actually cometitive and players look like they want to be there. Too bad I can't say the same for the regular season.
Thanks guyz, tanx john for the info.. ow ur an american, are u a fan of nba? i wonder who will win the boston-miami series.. to bad they face early in the playoffs...
Look online... you can DEFINITELY find one for less than 3000 Riyals. I have a Sony and it costed me around 2000Riyals. You have to be patient and persistent to find exactly what you're looking for.
You can download Avira at the website above. It'll ask you if you want to buy it, you just click no. It costs money to buy the business version of it, but the personal version is free. You wont have to pay anything for it, and it's a pretty stellar antivirus.
Yeah, sounds good. Another small detail to look at, which might be important to you, is how many USB ports the laptop has on it. I've seen some with only one USB port and that would pose an annoyance to me. USB ports are great, especially if your laptop has a few of them. I can charge my ipod in one, phone in another, have my external harddrive connected to the third one I have.. My friend Matt bought a laptop recently and didn't even think to check for that. He gets it home and realizes it only had one USB port.. He's dealing with having just the one, but he says it's pretty annoying.
Also, check to see what Microsoft Office programs it comes with. Try to get something that has all the Office programs. IE- office, presentation, spreadsheets, etc... the more, the merrier.
Umm... one more thing... anti-virus. Make sure it comes with a good antivirus program like nortan, or McAfee.. A lot of the workers might say, "yeah, it comes with Norton" and you get it home only to find out it's a trial version, and you have to pay for the full version after a month.
if that does happen, hit me up, and I'll shoot you a website for a very good, free antivirus program.
I din say Acer is the best...i wud personally go for a HP or Toshiba for myslf.....I suggested Acer only coz its cheap and assuming bisdak does not need a high performance machine....Anyway i wont suggest Dell inspiron....if u want to buy Dell, buy any frm "Dell Latitude" series....
I've owned an ACER and I HATED IT. I picked one up for school a few years ago and it lasted less than a year and I got so sick of it that I bought a Sony and gave the ACER to my younger brother. Sure, ACER is cheap... for a reason. Everything about it is poor quality. Why do you think it's like 1000 Riyals for one? Probably cheaper, actually.
Here's a good example... You're shopping for a car... you want something reliable, but also, you want something cheap. You can get something like a Camry for a very good price, or you could pick up a KIA for a VERY good price. Are you REALLY going to buy a KIA?
Now ask yourself.. are you REALLY going to buy an ACER? no, you are not.
i really expecting this ;-) brand against brand.. post all your ideas so that i can decide..
so is this true the inspiron is bad? acer is lower in price but is it reliable? i don't want regrets in the future that's why i need your suggestions and comments whether its good or kinda harsh ;-)
Dont go for dell.....frm as far as i've seen, the inspiron series has a lot of probs like heating and all....even though u have a warranty and stuffs, y take tension? Y dont u buy an acer? its good ....and HP too :)

slayerz configuration is good, if u want the cheapest model, buy acer ....its good and cheap.....and i think luly hyper has the best price elsewer....but if u knw any dealers in person, like in dose souks, sometimes u may get a discount .....
Good Question by HBoss26...what do you plan to use your laptop for. As a rule of thumb you should purchase the laptop as per your primary usage needs. Your use could be as small as web browsing for information (Qling included) or as demanding as gaming or programing. The market is flooded with different brands and models focused at different target users. Choose according to your needs. So the selection criteria in order of priority could be..
1 - Your usage
2 - Specs
3 - Brand
4 - Model
5 - After Sales Service/Warranty
6 - Resale (Don't expect to gain anything though after a year or so)
7 - Cosmetics (You r on a budget so this comes last)
