i never lived in ankara. but it is nice quiet city. most of the citizens are known to be a state officer or student so life there is not so exciting. but it is nice relaxing after living in istanbul for years. people are more polite. streets are not full. if you find a friend living in ankara of course he can take you to nice places there.

for istanbul u will have many historical places to visit. just visit the topkapı palace and surroundings. do not forget to enter bazilika.. it is amazing. for night life go to istiklal street in beyoğlu area. but be careful at nights.

also take a bus which is following the road next to bosphorus. get out from bus any place. preferably bebek. have a walk around. go to a cafe get a tea or coffee.. and watch bosphorus.

and please do this for me:)

regards

Depends which kind of places you want to visit.

You can visit the Hagia Sohpia and Blue mosque. Of course you should not miss the Bosporus.
