Morning News Another heart Breaking Tragedy

This morning my heart has been saddened by the unfortunate news of the burning and the destruction of the Aleppo ancient market.
I've visited Syria and these ancient souqs many times. This is quite tragic. Syria is a wonderful country, nice people and a lot of history to see. What will Assad have left to rule if he does win?

Yet the true tragedy here, in my mind, is that regimes and wars will come and go, but the historic sites around the globe that should be preserved common heritage are falling victim to violent ideology The Ancient Souq in Aleppo was part of the country's history, and this wanton destruction is criminal and irreparable. The warring factions will find at the end that there is nothing left of their culture and history.

While we value the past, Syrian people (or any other) will always place more value to the future. And a future of a place where they are given their rights and privilege, as any citizen would, is more valuable than preserving the past...

It is easy for you to be critical to the Rebels (and Qatar for supporting them). But remember the Syrian Regime's abuse, torture and killing of peaceful protesters, who wouldn't stand up against it and support them in their god given right....

Damascus and Aleppo, to ancient fairy tales two beautiful princesses being turned to ruins. The human tragedies cannot even be imagined. History will never forget this day.

Audubillah.. At the rate things are going you have to wonder what will be left of the country for either parties to benefit from. So much destruction and that too on such a large scale, is simply heart-wrenchingly unimaginable. One can't even fathom how those, for whom these once thriving places were there means of livelihood, must feel seeing them reduced to mere rubble.

Is Qatar paying to arm the Rebels, so indirectly they could be responsible? Just a thought?
