Meeting people

Hey, I'm moving from London to Doha sometime late July, and was wondering what was the best way to meet new people?

I'm 36, would love to know/have a group of pals to hang out with when I'm not at work or on the weekends. Im a sociable guy, dont mind bars/clubs/parties.

Any advice on the best ways to meet new people? Thanks.

Best
Laurie

Bars have a lot of single guys! I'm sure u can find some there. :0) Easy to pick up single guys in bars!

Whatever you vividly imagine, Ardently desire, Sincerely believe and Enthusiastically act upon, Must inevitably come to pass.

Hi Laurie,

I'm 34 and will also be heading out to Qatar from the UK in September (I'm a single female). I've also been wondering about the social life and how easy it is to meet people. Anyone else got any words of wisdom for us? Are there many parties or expat functions going on? Any great places for meeting new folks and hanging out??

Thanks,

C

so things will be relatively quiet (and hot!)

but as Baldrick says...do what you would usually do, clubs, meet up with people from here, sit in the souk and watch the world go by, search the internet, tour the sports clubs, buy a copy of 'Marhaba', if you are here prompting your business, look for the various business networks that exist ...just a few thoughts

Good luck and welcome

This is picture is obviously NOT me, I don't smoke..
