I think these track nights are not so much for racing, just for fun. Also it's a good and a safe way to learn to how control your car. I've seen lot "fast" cars been overtaken by cars with less horsepower. It's all about braking, taking the apex right and just enjoying yourself. If you want to compete, hardly this is the right place for you.
Altima can go 200+ but only for a short time after which the engine would heat up. Its about horsepower combined to a light-weight car.
Also it would need a low-profile-body or the car would take-off sideways if there is a crosswind.
I have touched 177 in my Civic....but only because a hot local chick was tailgating me and flashing me to get out of her way...unfortunately the lane on the right was full and I had to race for my life....and man I thought I was going fast at 140kmph.....
....I was just chilvrous ...and gave way for the lady ;)
Brit's Kia would no doubt be a terror on the tracks...comming in the way of faster cars....lol
The electric-powered Tesla Roadster boasts the equivalent of 135 mpg and a range of 250 miles on a single charge, a combination heretofore unseen in a mass-produced electric vehicle. Its extended range is due to its state-of-the-art lithium-ion Energy Storage System. The Tesla Roadster is capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in about four seconds.
My car will smoke anyone in 1/4 mile strip.
Including the Porsche, Lamborguini or any European/ japanese hot rod.
jackmohan its not abt goin on 80kmph..first of all mazda 6 is not a track car and if u bring it there what does it mean u drivin it near 80kmph...if u love ur car so much then u keep it at home...and its not about indian..its about those kind of stupid ppl...a guy came with hatchback skoda..i dunno his nationality but he was some arabic looking guy...that was so stupid to bring that car...his max speed135kmph...lol...he was just roaming around actually...2 philippino came with hatchback civics..like tunned cars..they just produced noise pollution..nothing else than just 150kmph on track...
"master_mas" losail track is not for cars like altima..i have seen much better cars throwing smoke from the front hood just after 3 or 4 laps...hehe...last track day a chevy corvette and porsche GTS2 an Evolution had accident...it was worth watching...many ran away after few laps and a jaguar S type was on gravel and had oil leakage in gear box..that would have costed him more then he thought...i saw a brand new chrysler concord quit after 20 minutes coz the car temperature guage was on full heat...lol...once an indian came on mazda 6 and even there he was driving on 80...hahahaha...think again b4 u go there and if u drive below180 on losail track then useless to waste time and money there ...coz usually cars like porsche, evolution, bmw, corvette, skyline,VW gt etc etc never go below 200kmph..if u really don't love ur car then u are most welcome..
I think it makes sense to go out there only if u drive a high end sports car like a Porsche or something not for regular sedans ... All its gonna do is tempt u to screw up ur ride which will not be able to take the speed and gear switching and stuff on the track...
its easy to take your car there.....just qr 200,fill one form, wear a helmet and they will inspect ur car for any oil leaks .... tow hook is also compulsory..if u got 1.
thts it..u will b given a pit, a transponder to know ur lap timings and 3 hours to dismantle ur car in the track..heh....

Yeah...When is the Track Day?
Brit I m no great driver....(this is my 2nd year of driving experience)....but me & my car both survived...
Have you ever heard of portable man packs and generators?
I think it will be a success.
You did not mention Korean... That means my KIA will outpace that electric contraption..
By the way, there are no 110v sockets at losail, so the car is a non starter ;)

first corner though..
i don't know if my my "oldie" 850i can catch your Kia
anyway after I'll fix the damn petrol pump :)
you'r right buddy, i got the Nissan Altima and i'm lovin' it...
i just wanna test the car on that track..
or let me sayy,
i wanna test the track with my car... ;-)
i ain't no mods no shit..
,
i knew a guy who works there, can't find his number though...
..
i guess i'll just go there when i'm free & will keep u updated..
Sounds good..
I have never raced in any professional stuff.. Unluckily :(
ANyways.. Bck to work ... im out !!!!!!
In my younger days, I used to race Formula Ford and go to Drag meets.
Driving on the road and racing round the circuit are two different things. The circuit with its cambers is much more scarier.
I think the guy who posted this has a Nissan Altima coz he was asking hundreds of questions few weeks ago about the car...
I wouldn't mind watching him have a go at the track :P
Should b entertaining ...
For an even better experience he can race darude the guy who drives like hes in a rocket...
Im pretty sure its a class thing.. or Category wise.. for sure...
This is why I was asking..
I didn't want my KIA to show up the Vettes...
I think it'll b stupid to show up in a stock car n u've got all the souped up corvettes n stuff around u !!!
Unless they let u race or drive against the same class vehicles...
Brit : I hope tht ur Korean Ponies don't send me bck to the pit lane crying :(
any car will do. From stock to fully modified.

My KIA Sorento with duct taped windows and guzzling "Super fuel can lay rubber at Losail..

Tried the website.. Not much info.
By the way, QR 200 seems rather cheap.
Come clean.. what car are you driving and what mods (if any)
with detiled info on mods avilable to go into the circuit to test your auto/moto.

what is the perfect time to go..?!
its easy to take your car there.....just qr 200,fill one form, wear a helmet and they will inspect ur car for any oil leaks .... tow hook is also compulsory..if u got 1.
thts it..u will b given a pit, a transponder to know ur lap timings and 3 hours to dismantle ur car in the track..heh....
What car have you got??? Is it worth risking at Lusail ?
Before Losail test, you should replace your spark plugs (you may even consider getting the highest grade possible for your vehicle).
Make certain your cooling system is working properly.
Add aftermarket speed options to your car(like extra turbo and intake materials so that your car can easily pick up speed and be race ready. ).
dudes, dudes,
i am asking...... my car still new i'll go when i cross the 5k KMs...
just wanna know, if it's simple & all i need to do is just drive there...
or i have to call, book, pay advance, wait in a queue....
what..?!
Me too fellows.
Let me know when you go. I'll bring my KIA.
