Dear Mom, as I look in to your beautiful face, I feel humbled small and out of place. I'm amazed that you’re still the same wonderful woman I have known for all my 24 years. So full of grace and I cannot help but wonder, as you hold my head, and gently run your fingers through my hair, who am I that you would die for me, who am I that you would know my name, who am I that you will fill my heart, who am I that you would take my shame? Fatima : so true, as kids we never realise what all hardships our mother had to go thru to raise us. Now that I am a mother nd been through a lot of stress due to my son's health issue when he was an infant, I realised what it takes to be a mother. And luckily my mom was there with me all the time even then....:)
My mom 17 years ago kicked my asss just to work HARD.

wow fathima .. even my mom will be wit me inshallah by end of next month bt only for 10-15 days :)
But hopefully she'll be coming here to spend a month with us soon, Insha Allah.
My mom may not have done anything remarkably amazing, in fact she'll be the first to admit she has her faults, but for giving birth to me and my two sisters, and having had the tiresome task of bringing me up(I was a terror...naughty to say the least!) she is to me an amazing woman and I love her.
Our relationship was not easy...for the most years of my life we never go along. But today, being a mom myself, and having gone through so many agonies in both giving birth and bringing up my daughter, I appreciate everything my mom did for me.

I treasure all those talks that we had and all those beautiful words she said to me when she was still alive.
