Latin Americans in Doha

Hi

Im coming to Qatar very soon. Im from the UK but my wife is Latin American. Im trying to get contact details for Latinos en Qatar but no success yet. Does anyone know how to get in touch with this group?

Secondly, Ive heard that there can be discrimination against certain groups of people. I dont know how true this is, but the suggestion is asian looking people have issues getting into Shopping Malls, joining clubs etc.

My wife is mistaken alot for Japanese even thoguh she is Mexican. Im wondering how much, if any, issues she is likely to run into?

No honestly it was LA... and not just one track. I switched on... put up with the one that was playing, then some awful presenter (no surprise there) announced that this was some kind of LA session and started to play another one. I poked all the buttons on the radio to get rid of it as fast as I could.

a big one as you will be able to find people from : Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Brasil, Dominican Republic (just to name some nationalities)

For sure upon arrival your wife could get in touch with the latin ladies group in Doha and she will find lots of stuff to do.

Try this  http://www.ahhqatar.host.sk/

Regards!!

Ohhh... it was Latin American music on the local radio this morning that made me turn it off. Your wife should have no issues regarding her perceived race, ladies don't encounter such issues (to my knowledge) here. It's the Scotish they hate ;)
