KFC pips rude attitude

I would like to share this experience to all and hope it serves a good lesson. One lunch time me and my colleagues decided to order food from KFC. After the order was placed another colleague approached me for an additional food order so I called the delivery service once again. Another filipina lady answered in the other line. I told her that I have placed an order already and this will just be an additional to the last one or otherwise charge me again for the next order. There was 2 minutes difference only after the first call ended. The filipina who answered my second call told the amount i needed to pay in total (both the first order and the additional order). She told we didn't need to pay double charge. After 1 hour the delivery boy from KFC came. He didnt bring the second order so I tried to call the delivery hotline again to check why it didn't go with the first one. The lady who answered is the same one whom first answered my call when I was placing the first order. She told the second delivery was not able to catch up as the first order was already dispatched. The guy who was expecting his food left sadly after that. However we thought its fine and just considered. Me and my Colleagues where preparing to eat and as we open the food package there was no drinks. I called the hotline again and the same lady answered. I told her that there was no drinks in our order. She answered me in a not so pleasant tone that made my blood raise. She told exactly like this.."there is no drinks mam? Ok so what you want us to do now?!"...i replied her and said.."Well..I suppose you send the missing in the order since we paid for it and it is not our mistake you miss to deliver it"..i must know that by that time I was already freaking out the way she answered me that made me reply her in this tone..After few minutes i received a call from a guy from KFC, by his voice i can tell he's an arab guy. He said, "Hello! What is the problem?" (sounded rude). SO i replied and said.."the problem is we ordered and you have missed to deliver some items of it..now you tell me do we have the right to ask you to deliver the missing items or not? only then he lower down his voice knowing I was right. The delivery boy came with the missing items after that. Bringing in additional drinks to compensate the mistake and the rudeness of their people. A few drinks shouldnt have to be asked to be sent again, the price dont matter at all, only if they have spoken the right way. Few days after we tried to call using the same number to be delivered in the same place and guess what? the lady said there is a note with the same number which we used for ordering. The note says, "required QR150 minimum order". Our location is 10 mins away from the fast food chain. Why did they banned the person who caught their mistake? Though were surprised about this, we manage to order using another mobile number yet still on the same location..and yes they delivered!!!

This is exactly what i mean, it was the fault of the poor delivery guy who prepared the order but his superiors could have covered up for him. Mistake are inevitable anywhere...Well, they did called back the complainant but they sounded righteous though it was their mistake, calling the costumer with an unlikeable tone makes them upset. We don't expect them to be perfect, they can start by showing up right respectful manners. Maybe this could be a better place for everyone. Understanding where they are coming from is not a solution. When they serve for KFC they represent the totality. They should be trained and briefed about "good service" (personal opinion).

This is bad service so take to the manager and then the owner--easy to figure out.

My experience and KFC is always very good though. My children love the tenders.

I completely symphatize with their salary but that doesn't mean they would forget about manners specially if we are paying for it..I am not generalizing, some are nice though..and i bet there was no use to send complain because the second call i receive was from an arab guy on the other line, the first question he actually uttered was "what is the problem now?" (maybe it sounds nice to others but not to me). Seemed like the call center forwarded the complain to the branch concerned. I don't think it should be a problem if they are having loads of orders every minute, they can always stop taking orders if they cannot deliver. Another thing is that our job site location is in lusail area, i can say in the middle of nothing, we ordered because that's what we understood by "Delivery service". We understood from their explanation that after the order has been placed, the hotline service forwards the order to the nearest branch which seem to be before the Qatar University. They delivered already few times before. The funny thing was..they noted the mobile number used, to have QR150 minimum purchase next time before they deliver to this caller. So we did little trick, called them from another number with different caller and they delivered. Not having the the "QR150 minimum purchase"...pretty unfair i believe.

from my third world fast food delivery experience, you should check the contents as soon as they deliver the food and refuse to pay for something written in the receipt that did not come with your order. if something is missing, too bad, but at least you won't have to pay for it. you can also refuse to accept. but only if you don't have a heart for your fellow overworked, underpaid employees who might shoulder this loss through salary deduction.

regardless of whether they made a mistake or not, you should not have paid in the first place because it's like an acknowledgment that everything is complete. it finishes your transaction. it's an operational risk on their part to deliver goods that you claim were not delivered the first time around because it is quite possible that some people would make false claims.

it's not everyday i get this kind of bad customer service but it really happens, one day they deliver your order complete, next day they gonna be late lacking some ordered foods. i wouldn't mind on this things since i'm already used to it even on a rich and advance country. superpanda, it's not right to comment that i expect to be treated as a third world citizen. i'm paying for my things, i shoud get it right. i've been in UK many times, i've been treated well, but i still see bad customer service from brits-to-brits. now that's from a superpower nation.

I dont like junk food myself but i tried Mcd delivery couple of times n they seemed to b ok, mayb i am not too picky .but i agree that if this is the first time u have a bad experience with them then u should think of this as a rude employee rather than a general company attitude

superpanda, i came from a third world country and we don't experience this things in philippines. we KNOW customer satisfaction and you'll even get it from street food vendors.you should think twice before you comment as it shows how moron and idiotic your thinking is. i've been here in qatar for 13 years and once i only received a good customer service and that's from a nepali guy whose selling makeup which i am buying for my wife. you go to US and you will even find bad customer service there even in diners.of course you don't know good customer service since you don't have it in your country..

how many orders do you think goes on everyday? If I were you, instead of ranting here, make a formal complaint at the store so it can be remedied at once.

Ranting here will not make it right! And next time, asked the person you are speaking to so easy to report for ill-mannered behavior. Do not generalized!

Another example of bad customer service and the lack of a ability to do ones job properly - we have just had a nightmare with McD's (just posted!!!) A complete waste of space, time and money! Good customer service is simple manners - which sadly so many people seem to lack!
