Katara to launch gondola trips starting tomorrow
Katara Cultural Village has announced that it will launch gondola trips from the Katara beach starting tomorrow.
The launch event will be attended by Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, general manager of Katara, and the Italian Ambassador Guido De Sanctis.
Such an exceptional festival will give visitors an opportunity to enjoy a short trip on six gondolas in the sea, giving them a slice of life in Venice, Italy, a statement issued by Katara said.
The gondola trips will be held from from 5pm-10pm daily. Each gondola can accommodate up to six passengers. People above 15 years can board the boat.
Children and minors will be allowed on the boat only if they are accompanied by adults. Tickets will be sold at Katara Gate 12.
The gondola is a traditional, flat-bottomed Venetian rowing boat, well suited to the conditions of the Venetian lagoon. For centuries gondolas were the chief means of transportation and most common watercraft within Venice.

Glad to see another socio-cultural appropriate activity hasn't been appreciably delayed.
How much are the tickets?
Lovely! I guess they will provide floating vest to children or minors.
