I have picked people a lot of times going or coming back from Al-Khor....I know its risky and forbidden as per the rules....but sometimes you just cant ignore people (mostly labor class) standing on road side under scorching sun waving to the passing by vehicles for a lift.

Write me OFF...at your own RISK....KK

well i did that too...i let a boy use my mobile cuz he said he cant find his father in the park..(that guy just let the 3 boys run in the park w/o him..tsk,tsk)but the thing is, after a day or so someone is calling me and asking for my name blah blah blah..and just said its wrong number..

it seems like u will be misunderstood if ur intention is only to help..pity the shallow mentality...

What I would exactly do, is either call the police or Karwa (dependent on the situation) to come pick them up, I would ask for a limo otherwise they would still be stranded in the desert for 2 more days. I'd wait to pay the driver then drive away.

If she was a woman or a family, most probably I would have to pick them up, dangerous, but I did it here in Doha twice, I'm still in one piece elhamdul'Allah..:)

Never give anyone a lift unless they are in dire circumstances. I don't know the law here, but in Saudi Arabia, if you give someone a lift and you are in an accident, you become liable for all injuries sustained..

I have passed water to people who have broken down and offered the use of my mobile phone but that is it.

It is too risky.
