hey, leo_ieo, on the other hand how would you spend your weekend in your country?? all the same: coffeeshops, restaurants, malls, beaches, movies, night clubs, TV, hanging out with some buddies, taking some longer trips once in a while.. ALL that you have in Doha... The only things I really miss here are theatre and concerts. But sometimes you even can catch some shows in here if you like...

Besides all those we have the meausem, zoo, then fishing trip on a boat, private farm more to follow.

Since there's nothing much to do rather than malling, coffee shops, clubs...beach, its all the same things over and over again. in doha, its good to have your own community...join a sports club, music org, weekend party buddies or your own religious community. it is always better to have a group of people brainstorming about what's goin' to be up for you this weekend! so search and find yopur group now!!! ;-)

Besides resorts, are there other scenic/historic attractions outside Doha which are good for weekend visits?

Qatar is not small, I believe she should have much more than old & desert ...

if you wait till after Ramadhan, the sealine resort area becomes really active with camping enthusiats... i am sure there will be a QL group going there.

yeah...Nisso is right...coz within one month one can cover all shopping malls, restaurants etc places in doah...... Is tere any other events to hv fun and enjoy weekends...lol

first you gotta have friends! you can meet a lot by joining in some of the groups here usually they organize activities e.g. bowling, pot luck, fishing etc.
