Hello everybody,

I am an expat from Denmark, 30 years old guy. I want to meet new people outside my work, open minded people. Please drop me a line if you are interested in new friendships, so we can swap emails.

haha godsgift, that was actually not the goal.

mnabbster I have travled to about 30 countries, and I would say this is the hardest country I have lived in to meet people. And as I mentioned, I would like to meet open minded people, wich you propably are not..

First of all, all the expats in Qatar stick to their own countries and continents mostly coz of convenience.

You will meet more people as you go along and thing will be alright. The start is a lil tough but it makes the result all the more valuable..

I hear y'all guys.. It was really hard for me to socialise when i first got to Doha. It took me like a year to mingle and meet new people here. But Zangan, you'll be fine, just hang in here and you'll get to know tons of people from different nationalities. :)

Industrial area is the crappiest area in Qatar.. lol ;-)

Welcome to Qatar...

I feel the same when I was new here 3 years ago. Luckily I have aunt, uncles and cousins and bro who live with me. In time, you will have group of friends whom you can hang out with. Try some road trips in Al Khor, crabbing, fishing etc.

Edifis, nice humor! You can be a stand up comedian. Lol!

What is it with this Industrial area, I keep hearing about it, but I dont know what it is. For me it sounds like the factory area and I cant see how it is possible to meet people there :-) What is there to there?

Welcome to QL..... The best way to meet new people is to hang out with your office mates after work or go to any bars.

I suggest you do it by theme. For example I met a lot of cool people by looking for squash players. So search for communities, and show up there!

I am new people. But the question is how much new?

If you want absolutely new you have to go to the maternity ward of the hospital.
