Just curios - are qataris allowed to divorce? and if so, how is it happening? i have heard many times, that man can say three times "i divorce you" and this is the end of story. Is it really so?
Well, if you really want to know how a divorce is handled in Qatar, you should not try to get a proper answer here! There are Sharia courts and lawyers who do this. Since you posted here, it could have been a joke, couldn't it?
well, if some one can tell me a bit more about divorce, please, do. I am tired of spending my time on reading this BS about blonds, reds and so on. If i ask something, that means i have a reason for it. And if you dont have to say anything nice, dont say anything at all. I understand, that brits are the cleaverest people on earth....
But u know, sometimes nobody can give witness, but the partner realize she/he is done wrong.., they will be seperated, but not may be legaly, but for me legal is different- mind- love is the one important, if lost....
I my vew, marraige is an agreement between two different persons, if they cant go ahead well, they have to seperate/ divorce, may be legally Qatar will not agree with them, but mentaly they will be seperated, so we have to agree with them for get divorce.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 229: A divorce is only permissible twice: after that the parties should either hold together on equitable terms or separate with kindness
If the husband pronounces one divorce, he can reverse that divorce by accepting the wife back, provided he takes her back before the waiting period or ‘iddah’ is over. If he does not take her back as his wife, and the waiting period or ‘iddah’ term expires, then the man and woman are divorced. If he wants to take her back after the waiting period or ‘iddah’, then he will have to marry her anew with a new meher.
This system of announcing a divorce and reversing his decision can be done twice. If the husband pronounces a third divorce, then this third divorce will be irrevocable. Unless of course, the woman marries another man, and he, of his own will divorces her, or dies….. Only then are they permitted to marry anew
Divorce is allowed under the Islamic rules; a man should say to his wife “she is divorced”, no need for the three times, and it should be witnesses by others and should not be on the act of anger.
Also it is preferable to have someone from his family and another from hers.
