DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST – IT’S THEIR FIRST TIME IN QATAR
To avoid misunderstandings, the producers of DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, the musical playing Doha in December, published a statement, that this is indeed the first time the show comes to the country.
“We have been asked by many people, if this show hasn’t been to Doha last year.” says PREMIUM EVENTS’ Mimi Teferra, “and our answer is: No it has not! The children’s show DISNEY ON ICE, that came in Fall 2014, has used small excerpts of the story. That was not our show."
Teferra further added, "This one, that comes to Doha now, is something completely different. This one is the original musical show that played on Broadway between 1994 and 2007 and features the exact story from the world famous DISNEY animation movie."
"It features the most monumental musical set that ever came to Doha, with more than 10 freight containers of sound, lights, stage set and costumes. It plays with a full live orchestra and more than 40 actors and dancers on stage."
"We are very proud, that we could manage to bring the first real Broadway production ever to Doha. And we want people to understand that this is something outstanding, something really new for this country.”
