We were on our way from Al Udeid Military Base, when we got caught in the heavy desert storm. Heavy sand storms accompanied with poor visibility. We could not see vehicles in the distance. This shot was taken from the inside of the truck we were travelling..
yeah, it was interesting but hardly worrisome.Wish I'd had a camera with me.
pounce, agree with having to pull over during the extremes of sand storm but this one isn't fake either..
Wow, remember worse, lucky you were in a truck, imagine driving in a saloon car. The scene would more likely have been waves of sand and hardly tarmac to be see.

A real sand-storm is when you can't see the white lines on the road and you have to pull-over and wait until the sand-storm abates.
