Hey all, new to the forum and will be arriving in Qatar in August. In my new job I will be finishing work around 1pm, was just wondering how people fill the rest of their days?

nice timing, out at 1PM.

find a group that shares your hobby/interests (lots of it here in QL) being with people with common interests is the best thing you can do here (or anywhere else:).. i personally take "photo-walks" with friends, shooting sceneries/people, etc, or playing music. i agree with the those who mentioned jogging/walking, but with the weather today (hot) you can do that in the late afternoon or evenings. but yeah, mostly its all about the people you hang out with. "the people is what makes the place" :)

finishing at 1 pm is great thing..

i would advise you to start some healthy program, say jogging or walking which will consume about 2 hours and will translate into your life and make it joyful.

QL is also a great place to meet people through which you can write posts and educate yourself on so many cultures!

explore Doha, we have lovely museums and markets too.

Send my regards to Cork!

Good luck!

lol thanks for the ideas folks, so do many people keep dogs in Qatar? Would love to have one but i'll be in shared accomodation so not sure if this would be allowed?

It is what you make it!
