I was a lil free this week, was in the mood for some fun and tried some pub crawl in Doha..I only found exorbitant membership fees, restrictions to enter and overwhelmingly full of guys!...sometimes I think I am better off just staying at home....
expect more of boring life here..clubbing here in this part of the world is one of the least thing u will expect to be alive and kicking..i'm sharing the same sentiments with you so i prefer to be at home and glued infront of my laptop than go out, have fun and do a bar hopping..i been into one popular club here and i was so damn disappointed..we just get our membership id card and go home..
and was looking forward to checking out the night life but this thread just killed all my enthusiasm :(( So where do all the expats socialize?? I'm bored and lonely as hell as I'm still looking for a job :(
I remember when there was agreat atmosphere in the Sportsbar in Ramada with filipino band and dancefloor. Packed every weekend and good fun. Suddenly it became a smokers club for locals.
For fun they made a gigantic hall with absolutely no charm and style. Camping like chairs and table and big echo noise that destroy all attempts of conversation wherever you are in the big hall.
Last when I tried to go there, I had to fill out these forms, passport copies etc etc. I told them to f*** and I took a taxi to W hotel
Dumpy...LOL....i knew and I heard..but guess I was just naive + hopeful + optimistic....but after being prohibited by one cocky bouncer after another..and the stupid fees...my nights were spoilt and in ain't worth it..getting into a pub should be easy n fun..but being interogated by the FBIs(i.e. bouncers) and the need to negotiate to get into a pub?? ...just kills the whole mood of pubbing..
That is a good idea leoj_fockers...my enthusiasm for clubbing in Doha is killed after my complete dissapointing pub crawl....some bouncers were cheekily happy stopping me from entering as if i am a weirdo...come one..too much restrictions kill the whole fun of getting into a pub for a good laugh and drinks with my friends...
