Censorship and modern Media

Often times in any given social network/website, we notice that Websites community laws being violated by the members of the social site or even worse when this is done by the very people who are supposed to ensure its intactness and proper application on ALL FOURMS AND EUQALLY.!
Titles gets edited without asking for the OP’s permission, comments and entire threads that didn't break any rules get removed for some mysterious reasons.
So why do websites have moderation controlling what should be posted and what should not be posted on a forum? Isn't a form of dictatorship and in opposition to the idea of free speech? Doesn’t that speak volumes of how hypocritical new media is?
I’m not talking about the broadcast obscene, indecent, or profane, threads, comments or trolling.
Just the ability to voice your opinion without your mouth being red-taped.
The virtual media is a source of info for people of all ages, whether they're kids or grownups and should be taken as such.

tinkerbell10: This got nothing 2 do with it, but Thank you for your comments but I don't see where it talks about the Hilary Clinton’s thread in this post.

Besides, if you took the time to read my post with extra care, I have already made it clear, that this topic was about (Freedom of speech Vs moderation). Nothing did I mention about the R.I.P'ed thread. (:

BTW I already it’s not about ( My way or the high Way ) it’s about Censorship of the internet in general and social networks in particular, in a free and modern world ) Gess what part of this is so hard to grasp?

BTW had my rant about that, but in a different thread. So ye I'm totally over it.

"Let's not get blocked by the TelCo". Please, it's not us who is so bad, it's the TelCo. Please, don't speak out your mind. We want to make money with this website.

The site owners have understood that, and in order to save their own a.s.s. they impose what they call 'moderation'.

Except for the old Germanic kings, who were ELECTED, all 'oriental' kings are in power by the might of the sword. They must protect themselves. And that's why they can't allow "Free Speech." Never. Love it or leave it, but you factually live in a dictatorship.

Mmmmm, Freedom of Speech.... how do you expect it in a place where Den Haag agreements are not even recognised. Where Slavery was still lawfully accepted practice a couple of decades a go (Considering the sponsorship law as not modern slavery of course...)

Enormous steps are being made but come on, we are lucky to even have a chance to post here. Hakuna matata, don´t worry, be happy...

the decision of keeping moderators or not is purely up to the site owners, they own it and they have a target of it, and it is their choice to grant ppl freedom of speech or not.

alternatively the internet is open, so u can create a website and let the ppl there speak whatever they want ;)
