Not very comfortable chairs. My opinion, anyway. Staff on the upper floor need training. Asked for ice and they brought it in a glass. Asked for water and they brought a bottle and no glass.
I checked it out on Monday night. It was about 8PM and not a lot of people in there. Very clean with little to no smoke in the air. Would be a nice place to take a lady friend for a couple of drinks.
Singapore has a very basic, but effective review method. They have so many hawkers stands and restaurants, a foodie can go bananas. But beware - they're not all up to scratch. So each place has a letter posted in their front window from the health department. A, B, or C. A is the best, B is good, C is hygeinically passable. If they've no letter, don't go. Simple.
Jammin' man. We'll also include average prices, grog available, wine lists (any Aussie wines - ha!). Also, value for money.. you know, expect what you pay for.
e46M3 i think it's a brilliant idea. I want to know what's out there as well. I assume the big hotels are the only decent restaurant venues. As for the independant restaurants, I haven't been game, except for the shawarma (typical, eh?)
Yes, angel123, people are always asking about this restaurant or that or a particular cuisine. I think it'd be worth having a review group on the site with pictures and all.
Had a coulple of beers there the other night. Some jazz was being played by a guy on the piano with computer back up soundtracks. It was pretty cool place to catch up with fiends. Chairs were compfy too. Ask about their ice buckets - they change colour. Go the gimmik bucket!

Singapore sounds interesting. Let's see who wants to jump on board and we'll take it from there.
I'm off now. Will keep an eye out for this.
New to the forum thing... how to submit a post for people to add-on and so on? Any ideas?

People here can post in the same manner.
Exactly, go ahead and submit the group idea. Now we need to find a sponsor!

Well, angel123, you will find the occasional gem outside the hotels.
Why don't you start up this group? If you're up to it, that is. I'm with you and I'm sure others will come along.
Let's thrash out this idea some more if you like it.

Thanks that will be great. Have heard the new restaurants at the Ramada are great too. I've been to the new Chinese one, was very nice.
Iam currently staying in Ramada, I'll check it out tonight if you want and let you know...
please don't call the other places sleazy, i've been trying to convince myself that I'm having a great time! Almost worked....almost....
