1. Cod and chips

2. Baked patato with tuna topping. The best I tried was in a pub in highlands.

But I agree with Brit, traditional English food is replaced by Curry, donor Kebab, pasta, pizza and chinese food.

British food has changed immensely over the last four decades.

Gone are the days of roast lamb and yorkshire pud to be replaced by curry and pizza and pasta.

I miss steak & kidney pie, mash and gravy :O)

OK Honest I will tell you a new English recipe! I hope you will find it yummy too!

Here is how to make this English delicacy.

1. Buy an extra large tampon from the pharmacy.

2. Fix it (strap it) behind a menstruating cow.

3. After 12 hours. Remove it. Squeeze the contents in a highball glass. Dispose off the tampon.

4. Add 1 oz water to the contents of the glass and bring the liquid to boil adding a dash of pepper.

5. Then give the cow a anal douche and collect all the squirt.

6. Now take some sauerkraut, 1 carrot, some peas and a potato and boil it in the ejected fluid. Add salt to taste.

7. Now mix the first gravy into the second stew and throw in generous portion of rotten cheese in it.

You will have a mouthwatering English delicacy called 'cowsturd tripe' Now serve hot!

Not had it over here, but in Marhaba; there is a cafe advertised that says it is a British Cafe. I think near the Corniche.

British fish and chips- the fish is deep fried in a very light batter and the chips have to be home made ones. Lots of salt and vinegar.

We have a wide variety of food in the UK; each area has it own unique dishes. Fish and Chips was invented by the Brits so it is a very traditional dish.

Bacon, eggs, black pudding, cumberland sausage, mushrooms, tomato and fried bread, strong cup of tea; my idea of heaven.

I wont even go into a cone of chips that we had in the late 70's and 80's where the vinegar used to collect at the bottom! :0) ....... But true fish and chips is hard to beat cabbage eh? only in the north can these be found though...
