There is a public beach to the right of the intercon hotel where a group play social volleyball every friday from 9 to 3pm however i do not know if you can drink there as local people still go there to relax and have a picnic.

I understand what you mean about enjoying a drink under the sun at the beach like back home however this is a muslim country and we need to abide by their rules. There are some bars that are good to visit for a good drink and catch up with friends.

The intercon hosts a few beach parties through the summer months including a big DJ party tonight.

are you saying "counting bars" in prison? i think qatar seems like they need to see a bit more of the real world and see how everyone has fun! thailand beach parties could be a start!!

but if ur thinking of enjoying in the open beaches here, then u will be counting the bars.

All the young go to the French Beach at the weekend which is in the north of the country...
