Your opinion please
Ciao everybody
I'm about to move to Doha where I was offered to be the chairman of a brand new small size company
My job will be 50% technical (interior design + building site management) and 50% commercial (high end building materials selling)
I've agreed the following side benefits:
house (1 BR or large studio)
car (petrol & maintenance inclusive)
2 air ticket home per annum
first class medical insurance (except dentist)
fitness center membership
Salary will be 40.000 US $ net/annum + succes fee commisions
I'm an italian architect of 49 yo with 22 years experience
What do you think about ?
Thanks for your help
dear sir considering your years of experience the offered salary is too low...please do negotiate more or just drop it and wait for something better..
good luck
UkEngQatar thank you very much
cracydutch dank'u wel
tahsinmim आपको धन्यवाद देता हूं।
I'm aware that my base salary will be on the lower side of the scale but the company I will manage is too brand new (and about small) to afford high salaries at beginning
Anyhow I find the challenge very exciting because premises of business are very good and hopefully succes fees will be much bigger than base salary
I'll drop you a line if and when arriving in Doha
Andy
thats on the realy low site coming from eu with 22y experience.. at atleast 50% or dont take the job
Andy-mi the salary looks like on the lower side. You said $40k per annum that's about QR130K which is just over QR10500 per month. Not enough in my opinion.
@ Bachus
1) no wife and daughter will stay home at least for the first 6/8 months
2) really don't know but I was told "no dental care inclusive"

@ Molten Metal
I was somehowe thinking that the base part of the salary was low but the interesting part is the "no upper limit" for succes fee

in Italy we say "la prima gallina che canta ha fatto l'uovo" (more or less "the first hen singing is the one doing an egg") If you tell someone to be gay maybe you've got a lot of secrers to keep well hidden :-) don't you ? :-)
not enough.
Az nothing to do with Nationality but I would bet you a 100 QR I'm right.
not enough.
1. Do you have family coming with you? If so, what benefits extend to them?
2. What constitutes first class medical insurance. Most first class insurance includes dental.
3. The salary seems low considering your experience. However, as a general rule you should expect 1.5 times whatever the equivalent job would receive in Italy.
that the OP is gay?
Because he's Italian?
yes he Def takes it from the behind.
You are gay aren't you. Not a critism just a statement of fact
