What is a good salary to save QAR 20000 per month with family in a decent 2BHK flat and weekends eating out?

Lifestyle:
1) 2BHK flat in a decent area
2) Weekends in Ramada/Sheraton for a couple of drinks
3) Weekends eat-out in a restaurant (Holiday Village, etc)
4) Family consists of wife and a small baby

At the moment I can save around QAR7000 equivalent in India per month. But I am seeking to save at least 3 times that in Qatar to consider relocating.

In doha you can triple your expenses but not your savings. For 20k saving a month you need atleast 40k salary per month with moderate living. Getting 40k job in Doha is not easy .

So i suggest its good to be at Home....India

GLENN,heres a calculation with regards to your salary

house rent-------------- 9000

car--------------------- 2300

bar--------------------- 2000

communication----------- 1000

outing expenses--------- 2500

grocery----------------- 3000

miscellaneous----------- 250

total-------------------20050

it seems your salary is less by 50 Qatar riyal, that means you're going to pay more 50 riyal per month.

Not sure about your job but 90 of Doha population will earn less then what you want to save. Doha is very expensive so if your cost of living is US 1k in India (not house,,,, just your daily spending incl eating and drinks it will be I guess in Doha 2-3 k US$

put your 20 k QR = 5.5 k US$ on top, = 8.8 K, any other obligation, payments and so on, it all depends on your initial salary and your style

good luck
