Technology Service Engineer Qatar Airways Salary
As-salam.
I'm a non-qatari, and I would like to know what is the basic (or highest) salary that they can come up with for the engineer? I was told through a phone call interview that the salary would be about 7000 QAR to 11,000 QAR, which includes accommodation. Not quite sure for what grade, but checking through their Intranet site, the job grade is QR05. I'm a degree holder with 5-6 years work experience, though my short tenure job is what counts (reason why the chose me)
As much as i would like to agree on this, may i know what is the accommodation type that will be given? I didnt confirm with it whether the accommodation would be in terms of $$$ or staff accommodation. If its staff accommodation, may i know if its possible to know what is the amount of QAR will be given instead? Would it be even possible if i can ask them to raise the salary to 15,000 QAR at least?

Thank you Molten Metal. Hopefully after the interview process has been done, i will try to go for 14,000 QAR, before 'negotiating' till 13,000 QAR minimum.
How i wish i dont have any bank loan commitment in my native country T_T

No need to talk with HR, Your direct boss has the power to give you even 14K ..... So direct talk with your boss will solve it in a minute.
You will be able to get about 13K. Talk to them in a friendly manner. Do not give smile untill you get 13K minimum ..........
If they have given you an indication of the salary, then that is what they will pay you. I believe they have a salary structure for each position. I don't believe they will pay you in US Dollars. The Qatari Riyal is a very strong currency and It makes me wonder why you want the salary paid in dollars. As for your other queries and concerns, suggest you discuss them with their HR department.
