As a teacher of many years experience this place will give you nothing - absolutely nothing. A complete waste of time. Better off in a sink school.

There is nothing to work with here: physically, mentally or spiritually.

Abysmal place.

Under no circumstances should you go to Al Maha Boys Academy. This is a serious warning to be taken seriously. It is not a school as such. Rather, a creche for hugely wealthy children whose parents a powerful and who will force you to do what they want.

No learning takes place and you will witness shocking racism, bullying, abuse and mal practice there. It is impossible to describe how bad the school is. There are a lot of good teachers there failing day in day out because of the landscape there. No progress has been made in years. 4 Principals in 5 years, scores of teachers fired year on year. One large step to the right. Women not tolerated. Polite suggestions not tolerated. Common sense rejected. Teachers are treated disgustingly. Boys and their parents create an atmosphere where you can't do your job. Abuse is rife. Teachers are on the edge and majorly regret coming. You can't quite believe how bad it is. Anybody who survives a year there deserves the OBE, CBE and Purple Heart! Its a misery factory. There are pockets of acceptable practice within the school, but largely, the place seems as if it designed to push teachers to the edge and beyond. I haven't even mentioned the boys behaviour and lack of English yet. Their behaviour has to be seen to be believed. If that is your basic Salary it is ok however, there are others from countries like UK, NZ, OZ and others that get more than tht. Like you were asked and I think u have clarified they give other things like accomodation etc etc.

Cost of living is high in Qatar only petrol is cheap...hahahaha...so if you have to live on that and send monies home then no it is not worth the trouble u gonna have to endure at the schools here.

located behind Al Jazeera Academy near the Abu Hamour Roundabout.

They have transportation too.

I'm not sure how it is nowadays but I used to work as an Admin Officer for them mid-2009 wherein the school was being managed by different company. Most of the people I know then either resigned, went home or got terminated.

Just make sure that they have a (working) visa for you and you have all your certificates attested and authenticated. You might never know...they (immigration) may ask them...and that would cost delays with your working permit/visa.

ok, nice to hear that...but...did they gave you a free accomodation (housing), free airfare aside from the monthly compensation package? If not, your salary will just go to your costs of living here (paying rents, utilities etc..)and nothing will be left to you if that will be the case.

"with a western look for sure" 12 K is higher than average.

Not bothering even to mention what do you teach and to what grades gave the impression that having the "Western look" is your main qualification. If so go ahead it's a catch.
