Never ever discuss the details of your offer on a public forum.... I know someone who lost job offer because the employer accidentally found it on Qatar Living

You're a lucky man kabayan. The package is good considering the free luxury accomodation. Plus other allowances. If it's a government agency then your initial contract would be for 5 years. Isn't it? Government work timings is only for 7 hours,5 days a week. If it's 8 hrs. work then you have 1 hr. regular overtime. With your salary you can easily bring your family here. But your wife should also find a job. Cost of living here is way up up to the sky compared to Manila. Most of the prime commodities are imported. Labor services like car repair and spareparts etc. is above normal. You must be a wise spender to save a good percentage of your net salary. Good luck.

i was told it is a luxury accommodation but kept thinking why they provide water/electricity allowances separately if it's free accommodation. i agree with the transport allowance too.

uhmmm..check what kind of accomodation you'll have... sharing / villa or flat?

you transportation allowance is so low...for a senior guy like you, it should at least be 1500..
