The way of 1,000 miles starts by 1 step. Longer the time you spend as trainee, more confident you'll be during the rest of your career. Moreover, the more time you will spend as a trainee is compensated by the difference of salary. Shell is more reputable and your value in the market will be more with Shell experience.
Thank you kindly for replying and supporting…and let me add some info about the issue:
I am Qatari, a fresh graduate & I’m looking for a career that gives me a solid foundation via training program… and at the same time, I don’t want to waste several years remaining graded as a (trainee) .
In Shell, the training will take 5 years in order to enable me to hold the position; while Dolphin will up grade me once I finish the training program (which is 2 years max.)…
Financially, Shell’s package is more than Dolphin (the difference is about 3000 QR)… I do want to negotiate the salary with dolphin but I don’t have the skill of negotiation to do it!
I hope the view is clear now for everyone who would like to share and add more info.
You try to get the comparison between the two companies in short and long terms with respects to, say, pay, benefits, insurance, long term employment, leave cycle, family status, educational assistance, and many others. Also see any potential "to go up the ladder". If you are experienced with big multi-national companies, then you may compare what was before and what is now. Even these two companies are in same industy, there will be difference and uniqueness built-in.
Keep in mind that these two companies had a long way back many years of existence either from their parent company or with their present setup. Good luck in your future job.
it depends on the postion and duration. Even though DEL is a new company, the management approach is to establish themselves to be the best in the region which is why the offer is in par with Shell
Shell has a better training program and you could get access into their worldwide network of experts. And you are more marketable internationally with Shell experiences.

with raindrops comments on condition that you become part of Shell's international staff and not on contract with Shell.
