I have been offered following Salary Package and want to know if this is good. I am British, married and no children with 9 years IT experience in UK and USA. The role offered is for Systems Analyst

Basic: 15650
Housing: 12500 or Furnished housing.
Transport: 1400
1 Family Ticket per year
Medical cover for me and my wife

Total package is 29500 per month.

I think this is a good offer.Since u r only two!!

But if u r thinking for kids, then u have to become a whole offer including school fees in the future..

BELIEVE ME schools are very expensive here in doha,much than u can imagine.

Not wonderfull but good.But you won't be able to save much money,and believe me.Please come here first,bring your wife along and check the place before sign anything.

It's a very good package. What do you mean by 1 family ticket?

Package sounds pretty good, and as ur only two you can get good one bedroom accom for QR 5000 - QR 7500 depends upon ur selection.

If you wants to rent a car average it cost 2500 for small saloon car. All other expense will be depend upon ur life style.

Most people find it a good idea to take the furnished housing as accomodations in Doha are very expensive and highly subject to inflation. If the salary package offered is more than you make in the UK or the US, then yes, it's a good package. If you are a UK resident you won't owe taxes either.
