The salary your recieving is very low and you must demand for an increase. How can you budget that amount for your family despite tremendous increase in the cost of living in Qatar.Better negotiate to the management, remind them how important you are in your department, your efforts in helping the company grow, etc. You must be recieving at least 16000 per month plus perks.Good luck...

If wat your are saying is very accurate and true, then buddy i advice you to ask for more, lets say 7500 QR and above...

and note that, if ur job is important as u mentioned then they would increase ur salary and won't let u go..

Gd luck!

This is absolutely a matter of grade of the company. A clerical staff of a profiled company will get QR5000, while the manager of a low profile company may get less than that!

Its something you should negotiate with the management considering your qualifications, experience and the status of the company.

In fact it is not possible to lead a decent life here with two children family even with QR.10000, as the rent here is very high, almost similar to Dubai or Abudhabi!

Good luck , try for better!

not enough... i know for a fact that non-expats (OCNs - other nationalities) family status are getting 15 thousand+ incl. accomodation + transportation allowance.

5000qr is not enough even 9500 too, but it all depends on ur qualification & the company u r working for. some highly reputed organization r willing to pay more than 15k for the same job but some other cant offer more than 4k , so try ur luck coz u definately DESERVE more. GOOD LUCK

QR5000 is nothing. QR9500 is nothing! Lets face it, every expat in Doha is here to earn money (to give our family a good life) and save money for the future.

Don't you already live in Doha? Don't you know what the cost of living is? Being a father of two children, don't you know what your outgoings are for your kids (food + clothes + school...............)

You should know by now how much you need for a month and how much you wish to save.

Do you think QR9500 is enough for all the above? If you think it is (for the work that you say you do) then you better reconsider what you are doing here.

No one here can answer your question coz it differs from person to person. You can choose to live in a sharing accommodation with 4 of you living in one room sharing a bath and kitchen or you can choose to live seperate where your family (I'm sure) will be happier.

You do the math. I'm guessing you are reasonably educated to be an office manager and so should have a reasonable amount of understanding to be able to figure this out for yourself.

Come on man, get your finger out, take a good look at your family and answer your own question!
