Kahramaa HR deals only w/ EastWest in Makati, Phils... If you're here, you can apply only thru the website or thru the guards only by submitting your cv... Compensation is at par with the biggest companies here, but I heard they lowered it when the company was transferred to another Ministry... goodluck

I have brothers and sisters working there in Qatar and I'm planning to visit them next year. Is it possible to apply directly to Kahramaa?

try to bargin on providing you a family accomodtion in addition to Medication and kids Education..if u could avail them

then i guess it might worth to start with your existed experience u will jump later to next in-house sr.vaccant post.

Hi.. I'm from Kahramaa... recruited directly from the Philippines w/ no Gulf experience, just this January '09... I've read the thread, too bad for an experienced engr.. but well, in the 1st place why did u accept a jr. level position.. if u really think u deserve an engineering position why settle 4 a jr. one? I've got 18 yrs experience and I was hired as a Sr. level engr.. that's why I've got farrrrr betterrrr offerrrr.. try to negotiate for a sr. level position.. how can u bargain for a better pay if u only have a jr. post? do u think a clerical position no matter how experienced he is will be paid higher than a true-blue engr. with only 3 yrs. experience? think about it....PARE

Thanks for your comment. I don't know if the agency has something to do with the salary offer or Kahramaa just lowered their salary offer when it was transferred to Ministry. I hope somebody could enlighten me!

uhmmm just wondering ... does the agency your talking about supply workers in Kahramaa..cause base on what my friend told me Kahramaa hired people directly... and just in my opinion the salary they offered you is way to low... am just administration assistant with less than 5 year working experience i am having the same salary as they offered you. ask them again for more reasonable salary. base on your experience you deserve more

The agency informed me that Kahramaa is still considering my application and revised their offer as follows:

Basic - QR 5,500*

Housing:Family - QR 3,000

Single - QR 1,500

Transporation - QR 1,000

*They only add QR 500 in my basic.

I told them that I could not survive with this salary. I am asking for 15k-20k salary package.

CAN I JUST ASK IF YOU REQUEST FOR A RENEGOTIATION OF COMPENSATION PACKAGE. WAS IT APPROVED?HOW MUCH NOW?

are you really an engineer?

an engineer with 17 years of experience should be getting 20 to 30 K of basic salary!

Too less.. why these Govt firm offer peanuts for qualified and exerienced people??

You cannot survive in this salary...

well mandi, he deserve a salary like that coz he has 17 years of experience while a lot of people here has not even reach a 10 year experience but they earn more than 20K

I don't mean to be discouraging but "demanding" 20K when they offer 5K seems a bit over-the-top.

Basic Salary - QR10,000 (ave.)

Allowance - 5,000 (ave.)

Special Allow - 2,000 (ave.)

ask for 20k

well my friend, try to bargain with them your expected salary, who knows, you might get it.

better to be sure than regret later.

rents are going faster than our increments, if you get unlucky, you might have to take a part from your basic salary just to pay the room you rented

if it's for you then it will be.....don't rush

realy, it is only the salary of junior draftsmen in our company.. engineers w/ 17 years experience will get up to

20tqr per month. what a big company you have....

some ccontractual companies in the UAE offer that kind of package to my friend who was applying as a draftsman with 4 years experience only
