Salary offer

Hi! I'm a Filipino, recently received a job offer for a Project Manager position in a facilities management company in Doha. Offer is as follows:

Basic - QAR 9000 monthly
Housing - 2br apartment fully furnished, to be shared, provided by the company (including utilities up to QAR400)
Transportation - company car provided with fuel

Others are the usual free annual airfare, cellphone and laptop

Would appreciate your comments. I will be relocating from the Philippines, should I accept the offer, after working for more than 10 years in the property development/management industry. Have had other work experiences from other fields before I focused on property management. I currently work for one of the top companies in the country, with good career opportunities, though salary and benefits could still be improved.

Thanks!

Amethyst, If you are making less now it's probably a good offer and without taxes to pay you can save money since your only expenses will be food, clothing and entertainment! Since you will be in the same industry it will also enhance your resume. Good luck

Thank you dweller for your suggestions.

Yes, QR400 is monthly for the utilities. I do think i'm getting into a good company. just a bit concerned though as i'm employed with 1 of the best companies in the philippines and thus, should i accept the offer, i would have to make sure that the offer is worth it.

Best regards.

I have no experience of the property market.

Perhaps if you review previous threads associated with living costs they will give you an insight into how much your monthly expenses are likely to be.

Subsequently you can estimate what your saving savings are likely to be.

With accommodation and transport provided it sounds as though the company are responsible.

You mentioned QR400 towards utilities, I assume that is a monthly amount.

Good luck.
