Your income tax in qatar is the housing and living expenses. So, search the forums for living costs.

Yes, it depends on your country..

Qatar imposes no income tax but your home country may. For example, as far as I know US citizens and green card holders are supposed to file their income tax returns even though they are working abroad.

Your salary here is only free of domestic income tax, as Tallg points out.

You may still be liable to pay income tax on what you earn in Qatar in your home country.

Saudi tried to introduce a low level of income tax in the mid 80's. They announced it on Christmas Eve I think. So many people quit they abandoned it on Boxing Day.

You will not be taxed in Qatar but you may be taxed in your home company, depending on their tax rules and how long you are out of your country for.

you may want to ask people who come from your same country, an accountant from your home country, or your local emabassy to see if your income in a foreign country is taxable at home. it's not taxable by qatar. for example, canadians are subject to taxes in canada on all earned foreign income in the year it is earned, unless you can get non-residence status. I understand americans are taxed on all foreign income regardless of place of residency. it can get very complicated, but the short version of a long story is that you want to figure this out before returning home, preferably before leaving home, so that you are not presented with a tax bill based on foreign income when you get home.
