Is this salary enough in Qatar?

Recently I was interviewed for Qatar Airways and was offered a basic salary of QR 5400, accommodation provided by company, free annual return air tickets, insurance and medical coverage.

I am 26 and have no experience with the airline industry. Do you think the package is okay to start with?

Appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

Here salaries depend on your PASSPORT not much on experience and qualifications... so if you are from one of the Asian countries don't expect much.

not good offer

and i dont think so(100%)that they will provide the insurance

and medical coverage, only grade 8(manager) above will have that benefit.

noddy, I believe he will be assigned in IT department. that is, if he's a Software Analyst since his profile says he's an "Analyst".. anyways, for a first timer, 5400+ is good enough to start with, to think that your father is working as an Engineer in Doha.. That would be a good savings for you sincem, as you've said, you're still single.. Good luck to you kabayan.. ^_^

I think so too. Plus the fact my father works as an engineer in Doha. My interviewer mentioned should I decide to live with him, he can always give me additional housing allowance equivalent to $450 which isn't so bad to me.

As you dont have any experience I think it is quite reasonable. But do try to negotaiate more. Coz once you will join you will not be able to negotaiate..Good luck

It is acceptable. At least you will have growth opportunities there.

Okay, so that only means what I was offered was really bad.

I believe it is the properties/facilities department. The role will pretty much involve rent payable reconciliations.
