Hello everybody,

I have been offered a job in Doha, Qatar and full package is 18,000 QAR + family medical insurance + family return tickets to UK once a year. i am married and have a one little boy he is four years old. i? company has offered me own accommodation for two bedroom in al Saad area but they will charge me 5000 QAR rent per month. Please can you tell me is that salary enough to live in Qatar? Thanks

I suggest you to negotiate housing and education allowances; schooling for a little boy will cost you 25,000 / year.

by the way this salary is less but what is u r job what is the position they are offering u

so be specific in, doha you will find a man earning and living in 5000 qr and also a man with 25000 feel less so be specific about your job and position then we can say whether this salary is suitable for the post or not

It depends on your job description, but I think 18,000 QR is too low.

Since you are married, and if what is left is 13000 after the great deal of accomodation the company gave you, it is not enough. after all what you will spend for a life of a married UK guy will not allow you to save alot of money.

I recommend that you negotiate further.

hi sounds ok but you need to look at other considerations

school fees

cars

normal living allowances (it can be as dear as London here)

housing if you don't like where your company puts you

entertainment (alcohol is very exspensive here)
