Hi m dear friends.

I'm a Sri Lankan And I've received an offer from one of Qatari audit firm (Tagco) to joint with them. My initial salary for first six months would be 7000QR and after that it will increased to 8000QR.The company will not provide anything apart of that.
The purpose of this job is save money and I expect to save at least 5000QR. Please tell me with your experience is it possible. If not please tell me how much can I save?

more than QR 5,000. dont get a room, just rent a bed space for like QR300 to QR 700. then food, you can do sharing with your room mates. you can chip in QR 300 to QR 500 monthly. then transpo, get a room walking distance away from your job. you see, saving is easy and possible if you want it.

Mr.Lucky

I asked a question about living cost in Qatar since I don't have an clear idea. I didn't expect any comparison of salary, tax, etc between SL and Qatar. If you can address the topic I would really appreciate you. I don't wont to know things such as NOC as I already know about those. Please don't underestimate others. Try to help others as a real gentlemen. If not then better be silent.

many thanks.

Mr. OP,

Bear in mind that you can not change jobs in Qatar unless you have the NOC from your sponsor. No NOC means you are stuck in your job forever. (unless you go back and serve 2 years ban)

@ Lucky

How do you know about my salary? I'm A Qualified Charted Accountant and B.SC Accountancy special degree holder. I earn around RS.80000 here. I know 7000QR is not a big deal for a charted accountant there as they can earn more than that. But since this is the beginning, I just accepted the request. I think I can earn more than that in future. Anyway Thanks for your comments.

Wow, Saving Rs 180,000 a month for a person who is earning only Rs. 20,000 a month in his own country. What a lucrative deal. Grab the opportunity with both hands.

The salary of 7000 and to 8000 is not bad and as you plan to save 5000 from what you earn is a good thaught and i wish every body things this way and develope themselfs and their family by good planning and living to their means . You could do it if you are really prepared . you may get a sharing room at 700 t0 800 , transport at 500 to 600 a month and you may mange your food and other personal expenese at 800 to 1000.

I am sure you can save 4000 if not 5000, when you get 7000, when you join . Please go ahead but make sure that the compay pays you what is commited . God bless
