Hi,

I would like to ask if anyone here has their spouse (wife) working in Qatar? If yes, does the sponsor change (from husband)? What kind of benefits (housing allowances, passages, etc) are offered? Are working spouse receive less salary & benefits due to the fact that the husband is already working?

Thank you jjh for the information.

Most likely what jjh said is true, whatever benefit the wife has from the husband will be retained,

but how about the wife's offer?

will the wife be offered less or none at all especially in terms of housing, passage and transport allowances because the husband has got all that?

Normally, if they offer a monthly salary they also give transportation allowance, and if she's involve with sales who drives around town trying to meet their sales target (this is not a sales lady job) they also provide a car and petrol allowance. and sometimes they also give commissions depends on how many percentage the boss offered. :)

Have a nice day!

it's safe to be under family sponsorship but you should get a work permit first before working anywhere.

It depends on the company, but it's likely she'll be considered 'local hire' so want receive housing allowance etc.

Your wife can work safely under your sponsorship. no need to change her visa. all the benefits she has from your sponsor will be retained if she work to another company. Only the company she will work with needs to apply her a working permit. so she can work legally to another company. Good luck! :P

Have a nice day!
