Reached Qatar last week & realised that the package I accepted is way too less to lead a decent line here in Doha.

I work as Procurement Officer in a MEP Contractor Company (its a pretty well known Multi National, in their field). I need to know that is my salary at par with the market ? Also, how soon can I make a jump & at what salary ?

Hello, 1st of all, you should have inquired all these details through Qatar Living forums before signing offer letter or even coming to Qatar. Anyhow, your package depends upon your total exp. in field and total Middle East exp. If it is less than 7 years (excluding middle east), then package is OK. If you have previous middle east exp., then total package should be between 10K - 12K. I am not sure how soon can you jump, but try to switch before your medical test is done. If medical test is done, then switch before finger printing. But make sure to find a good new employer, be very clear in new offer letter / contract. All the Best !

you're the same guy who wasn't liking the place much and wanted his wife here...we gave you hope then...but now that you say you accepted a job/salary and flew all the way here without any research, I say you've had it; those questions were to be asked while still in dubai..either way, best of luck..jeez
