Qestions: QP site interview invitation

Hello everybody,

I attended telephone interview with QP and just received site interview invitation for a grade 16 senior engiener position. Salary range was also mentioned in the email. They wanted me to attend site interview at DOHA and then attend physical exam.

As first impression, the offer package is not attractive to me at all. They want me to accept the salary range before attending site interview.

Question #1: I understand that there is always some room for negotiation. Do I start taking about the salary now or shall I wait till during the site interview?

Question #2: The offer is a definite term contract for ~18 months, what is the posibility of negotiating to a long term (or infinite contract)?

Thanks.

Thanks again.

1. Negotiation cannot be done in later stage. It's now or never.

2. Switching to indefinate contract is possible but not in this stage and not for this specific job. Later when you're already here and SOMEBODY with enough power is convinced enough to do it.

3. If you are not from Arabic origin and you have no other family or social reason to come, don't do it. The package must be the main attraction as there will hardly be any other attractions.
