qatar insurance company
hello peeps... im also planning to go there in doha.. i passed the QIC interview and now on the stage of processing my medical certificate.. according to the agency where i submitted my application for QIC, i will be handling the position 'medical data entry' and will be paid QR3670..inclusive of food and transportation allowance...plus free accommodation.. just want to know if this amount is just right for this position, coz i am not satisfied. i want something like QR5000, would it be possible to get such raise once i get there? and do you have any idea with the type of accommodation they are offering? isit near the QIC office, coz i heard that transportation is horrible in doha..also, the agency gave me 2 year contract, what if i found another job in doha that can offer me higher than QIC is offering me, is it ok not to finish the contract? thanks in advance for those who will answer this..
should i bargain it with the agency who assisted me with applying to QIC?

the lesson i have learnt is bargain befor u join. That money will not be enuff. Bargain for better deal. The companies in Qatar require ppl..they'll pay. all the best

vodka is expensive.
the cost of food is rising in Qatar and even with QR 5000 it would be difficult to manage.
Once you join the company, it depends entirely on the HR policy of the company to give you a raise or not. Rest assured that you cannot bully/threaten your way to a raise.
The company may give you 2 years contract but can be terminated with one month notice. Once you land in Qatar under QIC sponsorship, you cannot change the job unless they give a no objection certificate. Most companies in Doha do not give a No objection certificate. If you quit, they deport you back to your country and you cannot enter Qatar for another 2 years on work visa.
