Qatar Airways - IT Datawarehouse Team Lead
Hi All,
I have 5.5 years of IT experiences with MS in Computer Science.
Currently I am discussing "expected" salary with Qatar airways
questions as follows:
1. How much do you think should I ask for monthly? given my years of experience and a team lead position
2. How is the working lifestyle in Qatar (especially in the IT department)? Is it stressful? OT?
3. They were also discussing about company housing arrangements? How it it?
4. Do you know if they have 13th month or variable bonus of some sort?
Hi, Could you help me out how to target qatar job market with this skill set. Please have look on my linkedin profile

Hi,
2. How is the working lifestyle in Qatar (especially in the IT department)? Is it stressful? OT?
$: It depends on your work nature. If you work on system projects, 7-6 is common.
3. They were also discussing about company housing arrangements? How it it?
$: You would have a choice of company accomodation and housing allowance. Actual amount or type of accomodation vary, depending on your grade.
4. Do you know if they have 13th month or variable bonus of some sort?
$ They don't have something called 13th month but they have end of employment benefit. Actual amount depends on your grade.
Think2
I think that amount, considering your a bachelor, would be fine. Let me know when you're around...Starbuck is just around the corner! Haha!
hello all..
they said it's 11K QAR + housing accomodation
what do you think? I find it on the low side...
thanks in advance
You're welcome Tazzie. Try to hit a good compensation package for yourself, I'm sure you're worth it! See you around.
Thanks Kikomodos...
#1 I'm Single so
I just need a decent house .. 1 bedroom apartment will do with basic necessities .. a nice kitchen, living room. (most likely I'll have cable and internet)
not sure about transpo there if it's convenient to take buses or should just get a car / or taxi
#2 I suppose no OT pay, right? I was hoping Qatar will be at least "less stressful" hehehe
#3 Ok. then company accomodation is better.
#4 Ok. Thanks. Then I suppose I need to look at it as "fixed monthly"
Tazzie, best knowledge, here it is...
1. Depending on your need (not experience!) How much do you need? Want?
2. Yes, stressful. Be prepared. Overtime, always.
3. Housing accommodation, better take the real accommodation because prices here just keep on going up high above. So you wont have headaches.
4. Nope. But I heard they have (like many other companies here) bonuses and stuff, especially airtickets!
