Is QAR 33 150 sufficient for a family of 4

Hi Members,

I received an offer to the total of QAR 33 150 p.m. (medical cover is and additional benefit) and I would appreciate your input in whether this will be sufficient to maintain a family of four ( two toddlers ages 2 and 3 ). So I know there are various factors that come to play here i.e. living standards, spending patterns etc. however one can gather only so much information from desktop research (e.g. housing and school fees) and hence my post. The position is in Doha and both my children will be attending nursery.

I did search the forum to check earlier posts however the only post in the same salary range was posted in 2011 and surely things has changed.

Any input will be much appreciated.

Don't accept the comment of Molten Metal. The person has been posting rubbish views at QL for over six years now. I believe the 25% approximate given in an earlier post to be more reasonable.

Good Morning,

Seems like a decent salary if you are not an extravagant spender. I believe the medical cover you mentioned will be for whole family?

Are yearly return air tickets are included as well.

If Child education is not included then please be reminded that the average British curriculum school for early grades will charge approx QAR 30,000/child/year excluding transportation.

I assure you that if you lead a simple life you can save 40% of your salary.

Do let me know if you may need further advice.
