As you said, your experience was in construction. Most contracting companies has a very less salary for engineer. And also your experience was 2 years only and from a construction. Better find a job as a starter/entry level for engineering position in a big companies, Oil/Gas, Petrochemicals as a regular employees. Then, after 5+ years of experience, then you can demand for a higher salary.

ask your employer to give increment or start applying to other GCC like UAE,OMAN,SAUDI.

Engineer with 2 years gulf experience can get upto 10000 riyals in other GCC.

Rest depends on your stream and your performance.

Best of Luck.

You can or you should solve your own problem. Talk directly to your immediate superior and tell him that your salary is too low for an engineer, even if it comes with benefits. Act now.

In the first place, it is your own shortcomings that you failed to check on this PRIOR to contract signing. It takes two to tango...so to speak!

is the 3000QR you get overall, including transport allowance and housing... coz its a bit small for an engineer if you ask me,...
